Vestiaire Collective Mock Shoot
Styled and Creative Directed by Katherine Mertz
Photographed by Jordyn Muckey
Modeled by Sidney Figuly and Katherine Mertz

Inspired by Vestiaire Collective’s AI-generated images of clothing thrown across New York, this shoot reinterprets their imagined excess as a sculpture of accumulation and identity. I styled and directed the composition using garments from multiple eras, turning excess into art. Shot by Jordyn Muckey and featuring Sidney Figuly, the work reflects how fashion’s history intertwines memory, consumption, and self-expression.

This shoot connects two defining fashion eras through one shared phone line. I creative directed and styled the project, featuring Sidney Figuly and myself as models to explore how trends evolve and return over time. The concept bridges vintage and modern style, reflecting Vestiaire Collective’s belief that every era remains part of the conversation.
This shoot connects fashion with the language of music production, reimagining upcycling as a creative remix. I creative directed and styled the concept to show clothing as samples which are layered, repeated, and reworked into something new. The mock up is in a recording studio setup, linking sound and style through rhythm and reinvention. It reflects Vestiaire Collective’s vision of giving every piece another life.
